Unfortunately it's back to Lightroom for the NEF's, ORF's and DNG's and the baffling Silkypix Pro for Fuji. So at present it gets 2/10 - only being generous and because it is fast and you don't have to use 'catalogues','libraries' or 'import'. Help screen says it will now work with DNG - I keep a backup RAW image database of everything converted to dng's - AS3 (just like 2 ans 1 before it) will not open them. I can't understand the HDR problem as the same program works OK in PSP X8 - can't be used for serious work though because of the severe noise/grain ? Working with NEF and ORF images seems OK except for the single HDR which opens to a dark plus magenta image, applying a maximum exposeure increase shows a dull 'muddy' image. Single shot HDR locks for up to 15 mins then just to a black screen. 'artifacts' (White lines 2/3 pixels and up to an inch long) on processed images. Trying to work with Fujifilm X images to date : - lock up's on opening. That version was rock solid and made me an ASP fan. When I was using After Shot Pro verison 1 a few years ago, I was on Linux Mint. It is looking like I have to get another PC with Linux on it just to run After Shot Pro 3. Maybe I should whip up a quick Linux install and run that version. That would be a different code base I would think. My guess that I mentioned a few posts back is that this some sort of memory error. Went a bit longer before stuffing up, maybe, but then the errors returned. I could rate the images as fast as I wanted. As a test I 30 of those images and put them in a new folder and ran it for a while. My problem came up with 150 images in a folder of my son's AFL game. It seems to but I have not tested that much. I then selected that image, and it displays OK. All the other thumbnails disappeared and left only the one with the 5 star rating. I then clicked the filter button, clicked the check box for Rating, set the drop down box to "More than or Equals" and highlighted 5 stars. I have a test folder with a dozen images or so.
